Making Space is an evocative exhibition that delves into the creative worlds of 113 Chicago artists. This extensive project, developed over six years, showcases the intimate and dynamic studio environments of these artists, selected from over 4,000 images captured during 166 studio visits.

Mark Ballogg shares, “Curating this exhibition alongside ALMA founders Gosia Korsakowski and Kimberly Oliva has deepened my connection and understanding of the Making Space artists, their practices, and concurrently – my own. I hope with this exhibition, viewers will come to appreciate the intricacies and nuances associated with living an artist’s life.”
